What Is Acne and How Can I Prevent It?

What Is Acne and How Can I Prevent It:

Everyone has annoying and unnecessary problems that they can free themselves from whenever they want. But one problem people can’t escape from because it’s written all over their face, so to speak, is their acne. Whether a preteen, teen or even adult, acne can manifest at any time and persist for however long it takes for you to clear your face or sporadically chooses to disappear. In some cases, this may take years. But in the meantime, here is an explanation and some tips for trying to clear your skin.

According to MedlinePlus.com, acne is a type of skin disease that causes pimples. The hair follicles under the skin clog up and cause them to form. These reddish bumps appear on the areas of the body that contain the largest number of oil glands, which include the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders.

Signs of acne may take several different forms. The first, is comedones or commonly known as whiteheads and blackheads. These form when the openings of hair follicles, or pores, become clogged with oil, secretions, (i.e. sweat) dead skin cells and bacteria. Whiteheads are raised, pus-filled bumps and blackheads appear as tiny dark dots.

Papules are red bumps that signify inflammation and infection; the first sign of acne. These may surface or come to a head, and turn into pustules or red bumps containing a lot of pus. Nodules are a more painful type of pimple that form deep within the pore and are caused by secretion. If these types come to a head, they are called cysts, or painful pus-filled boils that may cause scars if picked or popped.

While there is no exact cure for acne, genetics play a role in its development. Hormone changes may play a role, especially during puberty, pregnancy and premenstrual syndrome. While scientists are still conducting research regarding a person’s diet having an effect, some studies suggest consumption of certain foods being linked to pimple formation. While it’s been said that stress causes acne, according to MedlinePlus.com, stress doesn’t necessarily cause acne, but it can worsen the condition if stressed.

Treatment of Acne-What Is Acne and How Can I Prevent It

While acne can clear up, it is important to remember that it can be managed, but not cured. The easiest way to prevent and treat acne is gentle cleansing. Avoid rigorous scrubbing and harsh cleansers at all costs. This can worsen your acne and even cause more pimples to crop up. Use a gentle cleanser and splash with plenty of warm water and pat dry. This is the first step outwards preventing an outbreak.

Apart from daily gentle cleansing, pair this routine with Biore pore strips every three days. If used properly, these strips are the most efficient at instantly removing blackheads and reducing the appearance of pores. Biore makes pore stripes for the nose and face. Using them on a weekly basis will expedite the clearing process.

The final solution to working towards clearer skin is using a weekly mask and an exfoliator. Exfoliators can come in different forms, but a gel is the most effective. Combined with the circular motions of your hands against your skin, exfoliators remove dead skin cells, which is one of the main causes of acne next to dirt, oil and bacteria. Eliminating dead skin with a good exfoliator every week is another effective way to clear and smoothen your skin. Dead Sea products are excellent choices for an exfoliator and mask, to be used only once a week.

Another helpful, noninvasive way to clear your face is to avoid caking on foundation to conceal it and touching your face. Your hands have bacteria on them everyday, and foundation is generally made with oil. Touching your face during the day or using face make-up can slow down the recovery process and cause pimples.

Life has enough problems in itself. Don’t let your inevitable stint with acne be one of them. Make washing and exfoliating your skin a vital part of your everyday routine, and your acne will subside faster than you think.

Tarsus - Ancient Tarsus in Asia Minor -Tarsus, Mersin, Turkey

Tarsus-Ancient Tarsus in Asia Minor Site of one of the oldest Middle East settlements, Tarsus played a prominent role in the histories of competing Near East and Mediterranean empires. Often overlooked in ancient history, the strategic city Tarsus, located in southern Asia Minor, may have been one of the first great “university towns.” Often associated with its “favorite son” Paul, the city was associated with a fair crop of ancient world notables. According the legend, Adam’s son, Seth, died in the region when it was a fourth millennium BC settlement. Fertile lands, a good port, and proximity to the roads connecting Asia Minor with Syria and Mesopotamia enabled Tarsus to prosper while escaping the fate of other great ancient cities during periods of competing conquests. From the Assyrians to the Romans Although it is agreed that Tarsus, as a city, was first established by the Assyrians in the 9th century BC, scholars conflict over which king was responsible. american comic strips of the 1950s Mid-century and the rise of television saw the story strip give way to the humor feature in U.S. newspapers. Television had a greater influence on the newspaper comics business than any other development of the fifties.  At the decade’s start, 3.1 million American homes had a TV set.  This led to a newspaper-TV battle, which Editor & Publisher in 1951 called “a contest for the readers’ time in which no holds are barred.” Sudsy Solutions Also Read Were comic books popular in the 1950s? Some strips based on TV shows such as “Howdy Doody” and “I Love Lucy” were developed, but most of these were short-lived.  Publishers and editors instead focused on creating “alternatives” to broadcast entertainment.  The radio soap opera was replaced by realistically drawn comic strips about conventional people like doctors, lawyers, and judges.  This wave was led by Elliot Caplin and Stan Drake’s “The Heart of Juliet Jones” and Leonard Starr’s “On Stage.” Some of t
